poetblack-792-483115 It took me forever to locate the name of this movie. I watched this as a child when I was about 11 years old. I was sick and stayed home from school with my Nana when this TV movie was aired. I was captivated by the plot that got creepier and creepier by the minute. By the end, which was probably the scariest thing I've ever seen in a movie, I was resolved never to stay home from school again. (My Nana probably did this on purpose..heh) Considering this is a 25+ year review from an 11 year old viewer, I'd still say it ranks WAY up there in the scary-as-hell department. I would love to see it again, but it appears to be hard to get. Thanks to all the former reviewers that confirmed I'd found this movie at last.
trafield1 This movie is by far the scariest movie I saw as a kid. Me and my brother still talk about it..I was 9 when I saw it..I am in my 40's now! Some have referred to Kim Novak's sinister smile, and one referred to her chuckle. I remember it as the sinister smile and then a sinister laugh that got louder and louder as the pilot looked on in shock and fought with the controls. What an incredible twist ending! What an amazing thing this director was able to do with this lasting impression on us! I can't believe it was so hard for me to find the name of this movie and this discussion on it! I am glad I found it and am going to try hard to get a copy of it.
audigierfrancois Yes thank you because i never think knwow what is the real title of one of the most frighten movie that i saw when i was a child. I saw it when i was 8 in France, and i think that it's a big mistake of the channel, because it was a Sunday at 5 pm. Every time in a party, there's always someone who tell you that the most frighten movie he saw was this Satan's triangle but no one can remember the title. Of course, i never saw this movie again, but i don't really know if i want to see it again : child's memories are currently better than the real thing... If you want, you can go on my little blog, i create the top 5 of the most frighten movie when i was child, and the most frighten movie of my little life (i'm a 32 years old now...) : http://maxcastleisalive.skynetblogs.be/?date=20050831#2570692
Tony Pendrey I remember seeing this way back on TV in the UK at the time of it's release. It was just put out late at night as a filler. Like many others I found it quite eerie with a very unexpected twist at the end. I never forgot it but I could never remember what it was called. All I knew was that the great Doug Mclure was in it. So, thanks to the wonderful IMDb I now know what it was ! It always amazes me just how much really excellent film and TV remains almost impossible to get, whilst at the same time, we are sinking under the weight of dross DVDs. A friend in the industry informed me that a great part of the problem is the legal maze surrounding the issue of copyright ownership. He says the big bucks are being made by the legal firms specialising in that area. Quite often though there is no way of establishing "moral" ownership of a work when the writers and artists may all be deceased and the companies that financed it have also gone to the great studio in the sky. Films such as "Satan's Triangle" were made for a couple TV transmissions and that was it. In the UK it was usual to wipe video tape for re-use. This was originally done for financial reasons as the tape was very expensive, but the practise continued far too long. There can be no excuse though, for the loss of classic film and TV that existed on true celluloid.
