ma-cortes A rookie Miami police named Dave Speed(Terence Hill) is assigned a mission when he receives a nuclear radiation from a plutonium explosion, gaining superpowers and using them to confront villains . His befuddled pal is a veteran police(Ernest Borgnine substituting Bud Spencer) who doesn't believe the weird deeds are happening. Speed will utilize superpowers to fight a sneering mobster named Torpedo(Marc Lawrence) and his hoodlums(Sal Borgese). But Dave, alike Superman with Kriptonita, lost his power when he sees the red color. Meanwhile arrives Miami a famous actress Rossy la Bouche(Joanne Dru),being the veteran cop her biggest fan .This silly, slight film blends supernatural fantasy and an intrigue about false money. Abundant struggles, fights with punch, kicks and bounds and leaps. Cheesy and rudimentary effects specials with giant globe included.Awful disco music soundtrack by The Bionda with excessive use synthesizer.Average and quite poor cinematography by Silvano Ipolitti, Corbucci's usual. The motion picture is regularly directed by Sergio Corbucci, a Spaghetti Western expert, such as he proved in¨Django,The Mercenarios,Compañeros,Minessota Clay,Ringo and the golden gun,Hellbenders¨, among others. Rating : Mediocre but entertaining. The film will like to Terence Hill fans.
HawksRevenge The first time I saw this film in 1980, I was enthralled by the likable Terence Hill and Ernest Borgnine, but after revisiting this film last weekend I have to say that I was shocked at how lousy this film is, there is hardly a laugh anywhere and most of all it is very unfunny.I would ask others their opinion of this film, but would you be honest?, what makes this film special. We have seen the gimmick of this film done better, by others even kids. terence Hill is one of my favorite actors, but I have to say that this is a disappointing mess, that I wouldn't recommend to anyone I give it a * star rating because that's as low as it goes (0) out of **** Stars(Avoid this stinker at all costs)
luis rivera i could not with a good conscience give this film a 10, but 8 is fair. when i saw this movie again since about twenty years ago, i was elated. i remember bits and pieces of this movie, especially the music, and the voice "super snooper", i remember like yesterday being a little boy looking at this flick, and being amazed that Dave Speed caught that bullet in his mouth, WOW! this movie came up in a conversation with one of my co-workers Mike. and he gave me the name of this movie that i could not for the life of me remember. when i found out it was coming out again in February, i waited patiently and ordered it immediately. this movie is so cool, i love it. this is definitely a classic and should not be forgotten.
sidlane It's been at least 20 years since I've seen this movie, and I still can't get it out of my head. I just found out that it's being re-released on DVD February 27, 2007! I pre-ordered this on February 1st and can't wait. This movie is everything a cult classic dreams to be - quasi-famous actors, cheesy FX, corny music, and not-your-average plot. This is the type of movie that film was made for. If you're tired of the plastic, bar-coded, multi-million dollar, computer-generated, A-list-stars-competing-for-camera-time, over-marketed blockbuster, then this is your movie. It was made for the average Joe.If you like movies like "Looker", "Beast Master", or "Swamp Thing", then "Super Fuzz" is for you. I'll definitely be having a "Super Fuzz" party when this comes in.
