its_for_u In terms of filming this is a great movie but I am really sad to see again that film makers intentionally try to show Muslim's and Islam as evil as a fashion. Which makes ignorant people filled with hatred which is rising the tension between civilizations. Historically the story is twisted. Ibn-Sina as he was born in Uzbekistan was Turkish origin while he was really one of the greatest scientist at his time and been know as the origin of modern medicine of the western world so the whole world. And Seljuk's who were also a Turkish tribe been there about 50 years later after Ibn-Sina's death. Seljuk's were great warriors but they were not evil as shown in this movie besides Seljuk's were extremely merciful to people under their rule and they build a great civilization and known to be good supporters of science and art of their time. ana-32005 No, Seriously! If you love the book like I do, this movie will make you cry! Not a single chapter is respected... none! What about Mary Cullen?? And Barber?!! WTF!! Is it even a good movie? No! The trip is just the wrong route! They made him married the wrong woman, didn't kill someone who was important to be dead for the sake of the story... It is not about being fussy!! It is plainly a whole different story but spoiling a good one! The book deserved something better!

ali_fourm Unfortunately, the film is full of lies "Abu Ali Sina" or Avicenna was from Isfahan (Iran) The largest world medical (Physician) PERSION and Not Arab And in this film a teenager was teaches him medicine!! And many other liesIbn Sina (AviCenna)was one if not the greatest physician of his time ( considered the father of Modern Medicine)who was in fact a Muslim BUT Not Arabian..It seems that the film's director : 1 - Knows nothing of the principles of historical films or 2 - He made this film is the personal plan (animosity)
