rodrig58 Ezio Greggio is trying hard to make us laugh. The film is full of gags but you can not have fun at all of them, many are downright infantile. I smiled at the scene with that huge coffin, that's all. Massive inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" and Jonathan Demme's "The Silence of the Lambs", the film is lost somewhere in the "purgatory" of these two masterpieces. The result is a mediocre parody. Not even the presence of Martin Balsam, the original detective in "Psycho" doesn't save the film. Not even the beauty of Joanna Pacula. Neither the sexy forms of the little Charlene Tilton. Not even Mel Brooks in his short scene. Not even those 3 cameos of John Landis, Joe Dante and John Carpenter. Ezio Greggio is OK, he has a lot of imagination but, it's not funny. Dom DeLuise(very funny comic actor in other movies) and Billy Zane are both commonplace. You will need someone to tickle you in your sensitive areas, or to tickle yourself, to succeed to laugh...
NYGuy322 Before I saw this movie, I thought to myself "No movie can be worse that Freddy Got Fingered". Well after seeing this movie, it makes FGF look like an Oscar masterpeice. If you want to see horrible jokes, bad lighting, stupid sight gags, a rightfully so uncomfortable looking Martin Balsam, and just an overall bad movie, then Silence of the Hams is the movie for you.Poor Martin, by the way he looks in this movie, you can tell he's saying "My god, I was an Oscar winner once...now i'm in this pile of crap movie."Avoid this movie at all costs.
acpizza This is the best comedy in the history of film!!! I´ve have seen this movie nearly 100 times and I still find new funny stuff every time i watch it! Every sentence is a joke! Got to go now! Let me give you some advice my son...SEE THIS MOVIE TODAY!!!
Pandar If the saying you are what you eat then this cast ate a lot of hams and a few turkeys! An excellent choice of big stars in the comic industry including John Astin,Bubba Smith,Dom Deluise and a cameo by Mr Parody Mel Brooks. If you like parodies this is truly a must see!!!
