jasonhall78727 from the start of the film you think it may have something to it, but when you find out that the history of the world going bad is from oil running out.... Really. that is what causes "the company" to turn on "us" super weak. Film tricks that have been over used that the next director who tries to use them should never work in film again. The shaky camera, slow motion shots that do not add anything to the effect of what is going on. The nature of the "zombie" people and even the hero don't make any sense at all. I wouldn't give this film a moment more of my time after the first 30 mins. In fact I have never written a review on this site before, but the pure crap that people seem to be putting out needs to stop. I love horror movies, and am a fan of cult films and movies that seem to have some thought behind them. This movie isn't any of the following. The fact that this site placed a glowing review about this movie is also disturbing. How anyone could think that this movie has any merit just shows how the movie was made in the first place. The world is full of stupid people, and I guess this movie was made for them. This movie can't even be considered B rate. I have seen indp films that have more to offer on access cable. What did the producers do with the money they had for the film? snort it up thr nose?
cg_regan Not quite sure why this film has so many negative reviews - I knew it was a low budget film when I went in so wasn't expecting it to be perfect, but by the end I actually really enjoyed it. It's a flawed film, especially in the middle where the pace drags a bit, but there are so many entries into this genre I was just impressed to see someone trying to do something a bit different with it. The characters are interesting, Ray Bullock Jnr gives a really amazing performance as the lead and the film looks great. While a bigger budget would've helped the size and scope of the film that's no reason not to try and tell a story like this and as far as I'm concerned I'm really glad they did. Originality is scare these days, about as scarce as British genre films, and I think it should be applauded wherever possible.Really keen to see what the filmmakers do next!
bishopmichael28 These days I believe that everyone wants the same boring story with all sorts of cool special effects and to be wowed. This movie brings such an intensity to its genre and is a very special film. Sometimes, it is important for people to experiment and try something new and when you see this movie it is for sure something new. Now at times it can be slow but all in all the movie is terrific and it should be viewed by all those who have a taste in movies that are not part of the normal mainstream. So take a chance I think you will be presently surprised and if not then maybe you are just not into the independent horror/scifi/independent film. That's okay, see this movie with an open mind and leave and don't think hey compared to this and this it wasn't all that great. This is an original doesn't need to be compared just enjoyed and appreciated.
anbur3 Please take the camera away from whoever got the chance to play with it and bury it deep, then take the film and burn it. This ill-conceived post-apocalyptic horror (and I write this with a feeling not unlike profound terminal toothache that someone may equate this with any decent film of these genres) has but one thing going for it - the chance to walk away and watch no longer. In a masochistic moment I managed to stay the course - in the belief that either a gut-wrenching funny or scary moment would occur. There are no scary, suspenseful scenes. This film gets one star for a few comedy horror moments but all the walking about in the woods in between isn't worth the wait.I would have preferred the zombies to win - at least they were trying to make it interesting. The musical score isn't to my taste but was the best of a really bad film.
