trashgang I really don't know what to think about Wild Zero. Some parts were funny, other were weird and some were a bit stupid. What didn't work for me was the use of cheap CGI and some blue keys. The CGi looked cheap and the way they killed the zombies was always the same, shooting the head of the body. Once you have seen that you have seen the killings. The way the zombies looked were also laughable. But overall it looked more like a comedy then a horror. The effect of the UFO's had a fifties look as did the rock band. And towards the end the use of laser effects and special lights also looked cheap, in fact, the whole film had a independent eighties look. Not gory at all but still watchable even as it has a few weirs situations.Gore 1/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 2/5 Story 3/5 Comedy 1/5
legionarul2003 This should not be named Wild Zero, but Absolute Zero. The worst movie I have ever seen. Incredibly bad acting, horrible plot, an absolute waste of time. People who make such crap should be shot to death. This is garbage, garbage, garbage and even more garbage. I have no words to express my disgust. It is horrible, horrible, horrible. Stupid, idiotic, moronic. Don't waste your time. Sticking nails into your head would be more fun. What the fock was wrong with this junkie director? Did he eat shiite for breakfast? Did the focking zombies eat his brain? Why the fock should I write ten lines? One line is enough: this is the worst piece of crap ever produced.
fyregrrl Okay, since I have to come up with ten lines on a movie that I thought was basically cult cinema (I love cult cinema guys, I love Harold and Maude, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Donnie Darko, etc.), I just really wanted to point out similarities between American cult movies and Japanese cult movies. I think this movie was kinda like a Japanese version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. In Wild Zero you have Guitar Wolf, and they are a band in real life-like Meatloaf was for Rocky Horror Picture Show. He came out of the freezer singing and the band in Wild Zero is introduced on stage and I think they have some similarities in that both movies revolve around the rock and roll culture. Past that, there aren't many things they have in common-Rocky Horror Picture Show was aliens and Wild Zero was zombies, etc. etc. I just find it absurd that no one has made the connection between these two movies yet.
electronsexparty This really is the best Zombie movie ever. Not only does it contain the coolest monsters ever- Zombies- but there are some vague aliens creating these zombies... somehow. Plot? What Plot? I can't even remember if there was a plot. I do remember, however, that this movie ROCKED! You probably won't really get what's going on, or what Ace is doing (or who he is), or why Guitar Wolf and band have magical powers and a magical whistle, but that doesn't matter. All you need is an appreciation of awesome Rock-n-Roll, an open mind on gender and sexual confusion (ACE!! Gender is not a factor in love! Or something like that), a love of kick ass-ery, bad hair and short short SHORT lace up shorts, and explosions... oh, and of course Zombies.
