Synopsis

Teens PJ and Teddy and tween brother Gabe are typical kids -- that is, until their mother has another baby. The arrival of their new sister completely upends the entire household. When their mother heads back to work after Charlie's birth, it's up to the kids and their dad to keep the home fires burning -- and to keep Charlie out of trouble as she learns to sit up, crawl, walk and run. Teddy, as the older sister, makes a personalized video diary for Charlie, in each episode adding a nugget of wisdom for her baby sibling.

Matt Erickson I didn't like good luck Charlie when I first saw it. The intractability of my older brother to always watch Disney made it so it was on. With the writing I was won over! My favorite moment from the show was where PJ has a concert and needs a guitar playing replacement. His dad volunteers and says "I'm back!" PJ says, "it's for just one gig", "his dad says, "for one night only!". ("Teddy Rebounds" Season 1). I also grew to like the show's screen play techniques.I think efforts to not have infant parent on t.v or showing the interaction (zeroing in on lines), not to have the scene show both characters together (this would create too lasting a bond between the actors in the mind of the viewer.) I think Good Luck Charlie pioneered this.
Bob Bright I love GLC and me and my whole family watch all the episodes on Netflix. Whenever a new season is released that messes up our whole weekend. On June 13, 2013 it was announced that the Disney network would not pick up the show for another season. Bummer! There aren't many shows my family with small children can watch together so when one comes along we embrace it. In fact I was lucky enough to take my oldest daughter to a taping of one of the shows in the 3rd season. It was a night we will never forget, talk about classy! Now, audience tickets are in such high demand for that show that you can't get a ticket anymore, and just then Disney decides to drop the show. According to David Glowacki, the ticket person, GLC is the most popular show in the History of Disney. You'd think they would renew it for just a few more years, hopefully some other network will pick up the show.
Caleb Williams This show would usually deserve a 4 or 10 but since everyone wants to give it a good score I had to lower mine. This show is OK and Bridget Mendler is the best character, but for some dumb reason they decided to revolve the show around a little baby who's very cliché and not funny. If this show would've revolved (which it mostly is but not completely) around Bridget's character this show would've been much more better. The little baby isn't funny and the fact they decided to add another little baby which messes up the dynamic and reason for the show and also is she going to make video diaries for the new baby Toby. As of now the show has been on long break with no new episodes and this is probably because the writers and director realized that they might of messed up with adding a new baby. Jason Dolly who plays P.j is just a terrible addition to the show, him acting like a person with a mental defect is not funny. Gabe would be a good character if he did not always refer to himself being bad. It would also be better if he did not say anything about his character its really cliché to always say how bad you are. The parents show almost no concern to what their kids do and their mom is washed up and is always trying to live young.Even though Bridget Mendlers performance is OK on the show the convoluted plots ruin the show. If they never casted Jason Dolly, never had the baby being a big part of the show, and made the parents good symbpls and role models this show could have been somewhat iconic and Disney classic. This show is truly terrible and Disney should completely get rid of it.
baileen67 Pretty much all of the Disney Channel shows are just crap. I watched this one and about 5 minutes into it my jaw was dropped. There were no wizards, pop stars with a double life, actors on a comedy show or anything else not normal. It's a normal family that can be related to. They aren't rich or live on the beach. They live in Colorado! The family includes: Teddy, the second oldest child who is intelligent and wants to give advice about growing up to her little sister Charlotte, or Charlie, who is an adorable baby who sometimes causes trouble, PJ is the oldest kid who is sweet but stupid, Gabe is the troublemaker who will do anything to go to SuperAdventureLand, the amusement park, Amy, the mom whose dream is to get on TV, be a model, or just be famous, and Bob, the dad who is fat and owns a place called Bob's Bugs Be Gone, a pest control place. Good job, Disney! Way to go and keep it up! I recommend this show to anyone, kid and adult alike.
