Beautiful show.. I never watched the original.. but when I saw Michael Imperioli acting in this one I thought of checking it out. First episode blew me away and I got hooked on it.The whole Caribbean setting was splendid. The intensity from each episode kept me on a hook.Everything about this show amazed me.. the midget hit-man especially! One thing the viewer notices near the ending is how such events changed the friendship relation between the 4 guys; with some events showing how they get closer; but eventually failing to keep all of them together. Such disasters could bring about treachery, disloyalty, or even hatred among one another.

1. Comedy? yes... How many cats kill someone? What makes this such an amazing comedy is the way that it is funny, when it is not meant to be. Quite indeed, this is not a comedy but the way that amusement has been added to the characters situations is brilliant. 2. Crime? Yes... Stealing money, yachts, drugs, murder, from petty criminals, to cross continental psycho drug dealers and corrupted Government officials. Pretty much all sorts of criminal damage gets done in this. 3. Action? yes.. Tons of running around and people being killed. 4. Thriller? yes.. When you know its all calm it wont be soon. 5. Adventure? yes... confused men wondering around in a dangerous forest with people trying to find or kill them. Amazing scenery and culture shown through out. 6. Romance?... adding a quick touch of romance? will the chemist girl hit it off with the American is just a bit extra to go in. 7. Horror/supernatural? When you do not even expect this to have ghosts and spirits, you would be wrong. 8. Mystery? definitely yes? You just do not know if the 5 stars will ever survive right up till the end. Obviously it was not going to have animation/sci-fi now was it lol. from the moment their best friend who invited them gets killed in his high end villa right till the last words of episode 10. Makes it a 10 out of 10 series. ...One of the most underrated things to have ever been shown on TV. If it was heavily marketed it would have been a major success. The only bad thing it lacks is the lack of series 2. Brilliant show.

Absolutely Brilliant! There's action, suspense, and horror that takes you through a thrill of emotions throughout the story. This show just draws you in right from the pilot episode. This is what we have all been waiting for since Breaking Bad everyone. All the actors were fantastic in this show and the twists in the plot just keeps you wanting more. The story grips you in a way that you feel like you are on the edge of your seat throughout the entire show. The scenery filmed in Northern Puerto Rico were gorgeous and the plot of the story is refreshing from the repetitive things we have seen on TV! Trust me, you will be pleased. What an awesome show!

I was so excited when I saw the promo for this series. It had everything I liked including remote, exotic location, great cast (love Steve Zahn), and a suspenseful plot.By episode 3 I thought WTF is this show? There is so much drawn out drama that is shoe-horned into the script. It's truly like a bunch of high school chicks who can't get anything done because of far- fetched, BS scenarios. If this series could just stick to the action and suspense plot it would be nice but dang! There will be an intense situation (on a boat) and then a quick shift to a past event that occurred that has NOTHING to do with the current situation and these 2 or 3 guys argue about the stupidest crap and I am left thinking, are these grown men or junior high girls? No straight guys in real life would ever spend more than 2 seconds discussing the drama and it feels very forced. That just ruined it for me. Next, there are many things that leave me thinking how the hell did the guys pull this task off. Knowing how to navigate through a jungle that sometimes seems like it's a 5 minute journey between the boat and home but the aerial shots make it seem like hours and miles away. Other times I feel like the same foot journey is miles long. And how the heck do they find the guys on the path in their vehicle? Can't figure it out and there are more instances like this.Third, the camera shots just seem unnecessary at times like the kid who just got a camcorder and does these crazy (unnecessary) shots which serve absolutely no purpose. Finally, I am so sorry to say but Michael Imperioli just looks odd. The best description is that he looks like an old Jewish grandma. It's bizarre and a tad unsettling.I think this series has great potential but it could either be 2 or 3 episodes long and eliminate all the fake, annoying drama which only slows the show down. Steve Zahn and Romany Malco really shine in this series and are the stars of the show.
