I am fully enjoying this show. Being a great fan of True Blood, I was looking for something supernatural with an engaging story and some romance. This is exactly what at got with Midnight Texas. It isn't filled with over the top gratuitous sex but it does have it erotic moments. I find the characters engaging and likable. It's got a little bit of everything and the acting is really good. I didn't find the characters accents to be fake at all like another reviewer did. All in all I can say that it was engaging and fun to watch. It doesn't reveal everything too quick and isn't predictable like some shows are these days. It's different, but in a good way. What can I say, I have always marched to the beat of my own drum. If you are tired of the same of crap and were into True Blood then give it a watch. I don't think you will regret it. I didn't.

The first episode was good, but unfortunately the show loose some interest over the episodes. Very mixed scenes that doesn't make any sense in the time frame... I guess that if they trade some episodes it would made a huge difference. Gladly episode 1x09 was totally awesome, so to me this is a keeper and I hope other people give it a chance and don't give up on it.

I have read the books loved them, and I think they did a wonderful job on the show. I can't wait for more. There were a few minor changes to some of the charters but all in all I think they did a great job. It will be interesting on were the go from here since it will pretty much being an open playing field for the writers. There is so many ways to continue this series it will be a great ride.

It's gotta have have good acting and dialogue, which this sometimes does not. The dialogue can be cringe-worthy. I was thinking "Who talks like that?" on some of the scenes. The dead Grandmother can't act, has no feeling in her lines. Maybe because she's really dead? The 1st episode was so rushed. People were constantly spitting out quick replies almost before the original person finished speaking. And the editing was chopped up at such a fast pace that it was hard to establish the correct atmosphere. As soon as you were taking in a scene - bam! Hard cut to another. And why do several shows have people introducing themselves by 1st and last name? Nobody does that! Other than my legitimate gripes, the makeup and special effects are pretty good, and the subject and premise looks promising like they can actually get somewhere with it if they clean up the acting, slow it down to resemble normal conversations, and edit everything at an even pace. People sometimes think for a few seconds before spitting out a reply. Especially in Texas, where they're even slower!
