Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of a hit dating competition show, "UnREAL" is led by Rachel, a young staffer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with and among the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage the program's dispassionate executive producer demands. What ensues is a humorous, yet vexing, look at what happens in the world of unscripted television, where being a contestant can be vicious and producing it is a whole other reality.

Iain Gardiner This show makes itself trite each episode. It's so repetitive. I love thrillers, horror, comedy, drama, sci-fi, fantasy and so on, which means I'm a thick-skinned viewer who can deal with a lot, but really this is nastiness that's rarely funny or clever. There's an underbelly of rot below the 'pretty' which feels very real.
thespira Just watched the last season of the series. This shouldn't have been. The story is messy and there is no real story here. You can feel from the start that things (and actors) are recycled and can't wait to get out. The series should have ended on a high at the end of season 3. Too bad as the previous seasons were really good.
Mykyl J Kelly every producer, actor, background worker on this piece of fluff is the absolute worst of mankind. These people are despicable low life creeps. EVERY one of them is beyond redemption. They all come off as the lowest form of human kind. I've long been a fan of Constance Zimmer but a season of this crap shows how low an actress will sink just to be on the tube. Shame,Constance!! and the Sheri has always been a shallow stick figure. Completely unbelievable that any man would want to bed these nasty bitches!!
v_ro06 This Show started off strong in the first season and I'm now kind of confused of the direction of the second season which seems to be a more or less mimicking the idea of season 1.None the less i have to give this show some credit. Not terrible acting and a story line that is VERY different. I like this show not necessarily because of what it is but more what it represent. I would describe it as introduction to media manipulation. This concept in television has seen a really big rise lately with Scandal, Mr. Robot and House of Cards. And UnReal addresses this new idea under the light of a reality TV rather than political. Not your top of the line big show like the previously mentioned are but now too far down the list for when you feel like a lighter show. Bonus if your guilty pleasure is reality TV and drama, you will definitely satisfy that craving with this one.
