Moonlight is yet another story of a vampire investigator in a love triangle. Mick St. John is a fifty-year old vampire working as a private investigator in Los Angeles. He must choose between his love for a human reporter, Beth Turner, and his vampire ex-wife, Coraline. While the vampire-human crime solving love triangle has become a surprisingly common storyline, this series is absolutely worth watching. It has a more realistic feel to it than similar series such as Blood Ties from Lifetime and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also found it to be far less cheesy than many other series. It's less, "I vant to suck your blood!" and "Look at me, I sparkle in the sun!" and a bit more "I'm a lonely, brooding vampire looking for redemption and a way back to humanity". Thankfully, Alex O'Loughlin's character in Moonlight has not hit the level of brooding of David Boreanaz's character in Angel. A girl can only take so much of that.

I wish that they would bring back the characters and continue this series... I would love to see where it could go. I'm surprised it only lasted one season... :(How can we get this series back on the air?? I really think it could go far, given how popular vampire shows have become. Hoping this reaches someone who can make this happen!!! :)It was refreshing to see a series that had some sexiness to it and also class. It wasn't like the shows you see today. So I am hoping that it will make it back somehow. If you haven't seen it yet, then please watch. I'm sad it didn't go further because it makes you wonder what's going to happen next... but it's worth watching.

My wife and I loved this show, very disappointed when it was canceled. The chemistry between Alex O'Loughlin (Mick St. John) and Sophia Myles (Beth Turner) was incredible. For me, I'm not sure if it was the show or Ms. Myles...perhaps both. I wish they would bring this one back. Given the interest in "vampire" shows these days, you would think "Moonlight" would have been more popular. Maybe it was due to them using older actors instead of "high school" kids. Take "The Vampire Diaries" for example, an absolute hit and rightly so (love that show too) but they went with younger people in high school kind of like the show, "Smallville". Another thing I've noticed is that once the characters in the shows that use that "freshman in high school" beginning move beyond their high school years, they become irrelevant and uninteresting. It's as if the show just flops once they graduate. I'm no expert for sure; these are just some of my thoughts on the subject.

this was such a great TV show. and of course, i hated the sudden ending of it :S but it was still great! i was hoping for a second season or a movie, but i doubt that ever happens. some people compare this with twilight, buffy or the new vampire diaries. but i say, moonlight is unique and special! i've got the dvdbox now, and there's nothing like it. it just looks like those other series cause they have vampires too. but you know how many maffiafilms there are? well, plenty! and romantic comedies, like that's original. it's all been done before. moonlight is just moonlight. i watched it every week on the TV and now on the dvdbox of course. alex is a great actor! i miss it very much :( damn those Hollywood guys!!!
