A group of paranormal investigators enter the abandoned home of paedophile and serial killer John Gacy, hoping to find evidence of paranormal activity. Upon entering the house they set-up cameras throughout the abandoned house while going room to room with hand-held cameras, performing séance's and asking for John Gacy to come forward. As the evening progresses it seems the investigators are not prepared for the horror still within the house.

trashgang All blockbusters have rip-offs. Paranormal Activity was an unexpected success and naturally people tried to clock in on that. The best rip-offs were the Paranormal Entity flicks. But they just aren't that scary or creepy as the originals. The second entry here is also called "8213 Gacy House". And that is in fact what it is all about, go searching the ghost of serial killer John Wayne Gacy. I wont go into the story of Gacy because this is fantasy and not based on the real life of Gacy but one things is a fact. When they here the ghost saying Kiss My Ass it was in fact his last words before his execution. Where PA moves slowly into a ghost story the PE flicks do take a while before things go wrong. Here too you have to stand a lot of talking and noises before the crew searching for the ghost comes in front of the ghost. I can even say that it is creepy in the last 15 minutes when the séance go wrong. The other difference with the PA flicks is the fact that in PE you always have a bit of nudity. The fact that you are involved slowly into the paranormal activity flicks do work and do gives goosebumps here and there but this stupid story just doesn't work. It's nice to see an extreme close-up of a boob but that has in fact nothing to do with entities. It is watchable even as none character is believable, for horror geeks I wont recommend it but for those who are afraid of Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity, stay away from it.Gore 0/5 Nudity 0,5/5 Effects 2/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
roo-bear This is the worst movie that I have ever watched. I am not usually a horror movie fan, because I am a huge wuss, and get scared more easily than a 5 year old little girl. That statement alone should send up a red flag about the quality of this movie. I watched this movie with my boyfriend for Halloween, expecting to scream and jump and then have to sleep with the lights on. What happened was, we spent the entire movie mocking its lack of originality, consistency, and just bad judgement call in writing and acting. They made some obvious consistency errors, such as an actor turning off a lamp that wasn't on when viewed in the camera shot beforehand. Also things like travelling alone into areas where accidents had happened - typical bad movie behaviour. We waited the entire movie to be scared, or maybe even startled, but it never came. I felt like I was watching a poorly made low-budget student film. I understand and like the idea behind the movie, but they went about it all wrong. I have never posted a review before, nor have been compelled to until now. That is how bad it was. It's not even good for a "bad movie" night, which I enjoy from time to time. Just don't watch it. Trust me, your time is better spent elsewhere.
Adam Appel As a (wannabe) filmmaker this is the kind of movie you pray you never make. It isn't just bad. Bad movies at least earn their audience for being bad. This isn't just bad. It commits a worse cinematic crime than that. It's boring. It's exceptionally boring. The writing seems almost improvised, but improvised by people at a table audition. There isn't enough actual scares here to make an episode of your basic A&E reality show. It seems like the most obvious line heard on this set was "we will fix it in post." The continuity and improbability of it don't help either. For example, the concept that the show is shot in a house built on the land where Gacy's old house was is faulty at best. This place should be BRAND NEW then. The house is at least 50 years old or more. Not 20 years old, not by a long shot. Then the goof at the end (look at the goofs so I don't have to write "spoiler" okay?) Just careless.Additionally, and this is an aside, I find using Gacy as a paranormal entity a bit... disturbing? It's gratuitous and feels off putting. Between the scares manufactured in editing, the complete lack of continuity and, let's face it, the gratuitousness of it make it for a terrible flick.
Seenxninja (maybe spoilers?)The movie looked to be entertaining and good at first, it was creepy and chilling, but then they show a sex scene with two of the crew members and that took all seriousness out this movie, and there was also breasts showing close to the end of the movie,it was a typical Hollywood thing to squeeze in nudity in horror flicks and who has sex during a ghost investigation in a creepy house anyway? Another thing that bugs me about this movie is that they claim that this was a true event and they shown the death certificates of the victims, which i can surely tell you are fake, because the real Gacy house was torn down while looking for the bodies of the victims, and they claim the house in the movie was abandoned but the house was clean and well kept, wth? all of this does take away the seriousness of this movie and makes it into a joke and i only recommend it if you're bored or like torturing yourself with would be real ghost investigations. overall bad movie could have been better.
