Wuchak RELEASED TO VIDEO IN 2006 and directed by Steve Rash, "Bring it On: All or Nothing" is a high school/sports/dramedy about a popular pampered blonde cheerleading captain (Hayden Panettiere) who suddenly transfers to an inner-city school in Los Angeles, an hour away. Can she gel with her new, largely minority school-mates? Will she make the cheer team? "All or Nothing" is the third movie in the franchise. The others are "Bring it On" (2000), "Bring it On Again" (2004), "Bring it On: In it to Win it" (2007), "Bring it On: Fight to the Finish" (2009) and "Bring it On: Worldwide Cheersmack" (2017). The first movie was the only one that was theatrically released and is therefore the most polished in the series as far as overall production quality. This one arguably has the best assortment of women (Panettiere, Daniel Savre, Francia Raisa, Jessica Nicole Fife and Marcy Rylan). The movie starts strong, but loses its mojo in the second half, which is the opposite of the next film in the series, "In it to Win it," which starts weak but has an unexpected confession sequence at the midway point and ends strong. There's a great scene in the first act focusing on Savre's babelicious booty. Sadly, she's deemed "fat" by the other girls when she's easily has the most sex appeal of the female cast. Note to women: Men favor feminine curves, not stick-like bodies that resemble 12 year-old boys. THE MOVIE RUNS 1 hour & 39 minutes and was shot in Los Angeles. WRITER: Alyson Fouse. ADDITIONAL CAST: Gus Carr plays Jesse, a Hispanic dude, while Solange Knowles plays the captain of the cheer team of the inner city school. Cutie Rihanna has a significant peripheral role in the last act. GRADE: B
Taylor Kingston I absolutely love this movie. It's so good. I thinks it's my favorite because Hayden Panettiere is in it. And I love her. This movie is about cheerleading. As with every other Bring It On movie. In this movie, Hayden Paniettiere plays high school student, Britney Allen. She is also a cheerleader. The cheerleader, in fact. She is head cheerleader. But when her parents move her to another school, she loses all of that, very quickly. She promised her friends back home, that she would never cheer again. Which, in my opinion, is a very mean thing to ask of your friend. If she loves something, let her do it. But it was secretly a plan by Winnie, her not-really-friend and wannabe head cheerleader. Winnie, becomes the captain, which is not good. She is also sleeping with Britney's boyfriend. Low. Whilst at her new school, Britney joins the new squad. And her friends are furious when they find out. Mainly because she didn't tell them. Eventually, Britney and her new squad complete against Winnie and her old squad, for the chance to be in a Rihanna music video. Spoiler alert, Winnie loses, and Britney wins. And Britney and her old friends become friends with her new friends. If that sentence makes any sense to you.Overall, I give this movie a 10 out of 10.
insomniac_rod Very entertaining film for a limited audience; that's it fans of the original "Bring It On" and those who enjoy light teenager flicks.Hayden Pannettiere is by far the most likable and sexy character and to be honest, she was the only reason for me to watch the movie. I watched the original "Bring It On" when it came out and I had a decent time watching it because it had a fairly entertaining plot, likable characters, and interesting cheer leading routines. This installment was by far superior on the dancing and routines. In fact, Rihanna makes a sexy and great cameo that adds some spice to this movie.Oh well, recommended only for fans of the original and young teenage girls.
otterman62 without a doubt, one of the most racially prejudiced films i've ever seen, with the prejudice being levelled against Hayden Panettiere as she has to move into a tough inner city school. She is constantly called "white girl" and other slurs based on her colour. Firstly would this be allowed the other way around if a black girl was the butt of all the abuse? and secondly the stereotyping of the ethnic kids from the inner city school is also a disgrace. The writers apparent desire to show they were "hip" also extended to missing the point that the inner city school win the cheerleading competition, not through talent but by intimidating their white opponents!! these overtones to the film took it away from it's expected direction of a harmless lighthearted comedy suitable for a family audience into a vehicle that does none of the participants any credit. Hayden Panettiere has star quality but I would be surprised if any of the rest of the class ever get much further. All in all a charmless film that was a waste of time.
