Sober-Friend So IMDB has this scored very low. I think most user most think this was going to be a massive CGI infested Christmas Movie. If you want that then stick to "Black Panther" and "The Avengers". This film is heavy on story and emotions/ Its not perfect but it delivers a family safe film that adults will also enjoy. What this film is about is that newly appointed guardian to his young niece. He is a mail carrier (A.J. Buckley) who falls for a new employee (Ashley Scott), who answers children's letters to Santa Claus. Unknown to him she is Santa's daughter. Ashley Scott is very cute and believable. You root for her from her first scene to the end. When bad things happen to her you "Care". If you are parent trust me watch this with your Santa believing Children. Create a nice memory!
Christmas-Reviewer Review Date 1/27/2018PLEASE BEWARE OF SOME REVIEWERS THAT ONLY HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW. WHEN ITS A POSITIVE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE PRODUCTION. NOW I HAVE NO AGENDA! I REVIEW MOVIES & SPECIALS AS A WAY TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN! I HAVE DISCOVERED MANY GEMS IN MY QUEST TO SEE AS MANY " C H R I S T M A S " MOVIES AS I CAN. Now Someone keeps reporting my reviews. I guess they are jealous because I do tell the truth. I want to point out that I never make snide remarks about actors weight or real life sexual orientation. If there acting is terrible or limited "I talk about that". If a story is bad "I will mention that" So why am I being "picked on"? IMDB? When one of my reviews gets deleted IMDB will not even tell me what someone found offensive. Well on to this review. In this movie Santa's daughter is working at a local post office answering letters to Santa. She comes across a letter about a girl who wants her uncle to find love. Unknown to her the man works at the same post office. There is a few more twist and turns but in general this film is very sweet. Ashley Green does a thankless job but wow she was terrific. If you love Christmas movies then watch this one!
Amy Adler Matt (A.J. Buckley) is a postal carrier for a small city and single father to his niece, Emily. In addition, this man has two other troubles. One, he lost his fiancée, she passed away, and two, he has a very demanding, irrational boss (Locklyn Munro). Thank Goodness a co-worker (Yolonda Harris) is a nice pal. Yet, the big honcho suddenly pulls Matt from his route and asks him to spy on a new employee. That would be lovely Christi North (Ashley Scott), who has been sent from a bigger supervisor to answer letters to Santa, written by the children of the town. Surely, she has other purposes, big boss thinks! So, Matt does as asked. However, he soon finds himself liking Christi very much. But, she does indeed have secrets, like she lives at the North Pole and is Santa's daughter! Will there be any chance for a romance or will Matt get his heart broken again? This is a pleasant film that starts off well. The actors are likable, the sets most attractive and the story fun. However, it loses a bit of oomph as it unfolds, mostly because there is no big, splashy ending. If you like romance and want a holiday film to put you in the mood, then order this film through the mail or investigate other options.
michael thompson Contrary to one reviewer, I did watch this film, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.It was lovely, pleasant, romantic, fun, with a happy ending. Also I used to work for the post office, so I could identify somewhat with the male lead.I have watched a lot of Christmas films on DVD over Christmas eve and Christmas day. Most begin with a light hearted Christmas song, or tune, and then they continue light heartedly, and as the stories pick up, they get a we bit more serious, and ultimately at the end there is a lesson learned, all tied up in a lovely story wrapped up in a nice Christmas happy ending. What more could you want at Christmas.
