soniyamystical-83423 What an amazing movie. I love it. Acting A+, story A+. Hats off to Irrfan Khan, He played the character so well, really touching..makes you feel for him. I didn't want it to end.
nikhilparatkar I don't exactly know why people are rating this movie so high. Probably because of Irrfan Khan or because they feel emotional about the plot. The movie is poorly written and the dialogues sound like they were written by a 15 year old. I've actually seen better dialogues written for theater by students. The actors are all great, I've seen most of them do some really good roles in other movies but the director failed to get the best out of them. This movie could have been a lot better.
Girish Prabhu Irrfan Khan... When you see his name in movies, you are to be entertained. This movie is all about his revenge to his missing dead son on the Home minister's son. His role takes up almost entire movie. Not similar to the flick 'A Wednesday' but is of same flavor. A powerless common Indian man fighting the law against the government. 2.2 Hrs of movie seemed longer because of almost-solo-performance of Irrfan Khan. Not to forget Vishesh Bansal the child actor did great. Overall 8 for lengthier movie and not having parallel stories but a fantastic story with no usual Bollywood stupidity. Surely a great watch!
jimmie k Not sure why people are rating this movie so high. There is nothing new in the movie and the film falls flat in its second half as well as the climax. Indian cinema have produced much better films in the past where the common man stands against the corrupt government, be it A Wednesday, Nayak or Hindustani among others. Mumbai Meri Jaan was much better film directed by Nishikant Kamat's that depicts the life of a common man and how it gets affected by external scenarios. Also, lately the films directed by him like Force, Rocky Handsome they aren't something which surprise you or you feel great about them. He was able to do justice with the remake of Drishyam though..Coming back to this film, Irrfan tries to do justice with his role but the story doesn't holds your attention for much long. Better Avoided !!!
