I watched Parenthood when it was on, but I had not watched Brothers and Sisters until recently. The biggest difference for me is that I really cared about and liked all the characters on Parenthood. The writing was realistic and portrayed a typical family. B &S-not so much. In fact, there are few characters I like. Maybe Scotty and the boy kids. The rest are a bunch of whiny, immature brats. The most annoying is Nora. Sally Fields plays her in one dimension. She has two facial expressions-bewildered and worried. This show is basically an evening soap opera that has been so predictable-I can see the latest traumas coming way ahead of time. I don't care what happens to anybody. I'm not sure I can watch the rest ( I'm on Season 3 on Hulu).

I'm a big fan of this show. It's funny, it's romantic, So much drama in it. It somehow shows us that no matter what, Family will always be family. The acceptance of everyone in every condition, helping each other even though sometimes mess things up.If you're looking drama with light story, this should be it. It's a pity that it end in season 5.There are 2 episodes that I think should be highlighted. (Maybe because it's the freshest in my mind right now)Season 4 - Ep 5 "Last Tango in Pasadena" The scene where Luc teaching Justin dance and The siblings watching Luc swimming is hilarious. I can't stop laughing.Season 5 - Ep 6 "An Ideal Husband" This episode is after Kevin know that Scotty cheated. Kevin punched Rob roy and Soctty prevent Kevin from beating Marcus. The big scene is where Kevin said he's in pain and Scotty made him like this and he's supposed to be the one who love him more than anything. Literally the scene made me feel really emo. Matthew Rhys act is melting people's heart here.Nearing the finale of the 5th season, the show made some twisted story, where Nora said she told william the truth to drive him away, It doesn't make any sense at all. They had 4 more children after sarah and remembering the story where She felt betray knowing about Holly Harper is the reaction of loving someone. Not because she stuck in the family.Other than that, I love this Series.

I haven't reviewed anything on IMDb for a long while and I thought it's high time I returned with one of my reviews. Brothers and sisters was a show I wasn't exactly anticipating for a long time, I happened to be flicking through channels one night when the pilot was airing and there was nothing else on so I gave it a shot I instantly became hooked. It has to be said it is a flawed TV show, the show I feel is pretty repetitive. The first season was all about the illegitimate daughter of William Walker, Rebecca. The show prolonged it for a while and when it was revealed that she wasn't his daughter another illegitimate child pops out of the woodwork. Secondly I have never seen such an unlucky family, in almost every season a family member gets a deadly disease. In the latest season aired in the UK Kitty Walker is diagnosed with a disease and the family is forced to rally around her.Enough of the negatives. On the plus side it does have Sally Field as the matriarch of the family. She is very endearing and always puts herself out for her family. The family member I can most relate to is the youngest offspring of William and Nora Walker, Justin. Like me he is deeply flawed and I think it would be fair to say he is the black sheep of the family. Despite the flaws he is an incredibly likable character. Whilst I do enjoy the show immensely, I am hoping it doesn't get recommissioned for another season and quit whilst they are ahead.

Love love the addition of Brody as Nora's love interest. I cannot emphasize enough what excitement I experienced watching this episode. He will bring out the inner lost adventurous Nora. Her psychiatrist love interest was BORING.I never even bothered to learn his name. Brody is anything but. What superb casting. Thanks for this much needed invigorating addition. Nora will have some tough decisions ahead, but I can see Brody prevailing. This show is taking a whole different direction and for the better. I now look forward to watching future episodes more so than ever before. I do miss Kitty, but Brody more than makes up for her absence. Thank you writers for this exciting turn of events.
