Wow! I saw this was coming out and I thought this would be a half- cooked Dice comeback attempt.Boy was I mistaken! This is so well done. I've watched the entire series over and over and keep finding new jokes.I'm not sure how this would go with someone who didn't know who Andrew Dice Clay was, but if you are a fan or are at least familiar with his work... stop reading and watch it now!!!

I very much came in with low expectations but Dice surprised me. The characters in the series are actually funnier than Dice himself. His girlfriend is great and Milkshake is so stupid you just laugh. The manager of the casino is an easy going goof. And the woman owner is the casino is a split image of Dice as a female. Each show has its own plot so you can miss one and not miss a thing. The 2nd episode with Adrien Brody starts out with you scratching your head (as to "why"?) and then leaves you laughing out loud. I was never an ADC fan years ago but he's mellowed some (not a lot but enough to be much more tolerable) and plays himself at 58 yrs old with energy and humility. He still tries to be a tough guy but it almost always backfires on him. Very good watch. Only 25 minutes an episode.

The resurgence of older comedians/entertainers has been doing a lot lately. Louie and Maron among a few. Like Maron, Dice is a fictionalized version of the stage persona. The jokes are great. Just the right amount of political incorrectness to not be so offensive, but make someone laugh. He's a wise talking, ego driven, mans-man, with attitude. And he portrays it very well.Having Vegas as the backdrop is perfect. There are many great celebrity cameos too. Natasha Henstridge plays his girlfriend perfectly. The two have this chemistry that really made me think they are an actual couple. And Kevin Corrigan who plays "Shake" does a great best friend role and accentuates Dices ego perfectly. It's definitely worth a watch.

Dice is absolute hilarity from start to finish - his unique view of the world around him gets Dice both in and out of ridiculous situations that are mostly of his own making. Dice is a lovable character despite his many faults (brutal honesty being one of them). The show has the feel of one that is at least partially improvised or loosely scripted like Curb Your Enthusiasm yet does not drag. The show is fresh and funny as heck and is the best comedy to come on the air since the Big Bang Theory. Dice is in many ways outlandish, shocking, yet misunderstood (as is the Sheldon character from Big Bang which is what makes him such a compelling character) and the viewer is often left wondering what planet he is from, yet still being able to identify with Dice's wacky sense of right and wrong. Definitely put this show on your watch list.
