Synopsis

Set in 1980s London, this comedy series follows the Easmon family, which has settled in England after having arrived from Sierra Leone a decade earlier. The Easmons’ son, Akuna, hangs out in the housing project where the family lives, playing soccer and dodging the local thugs. The family’s life is turned upside down when Walter’s brother Valentine arrives in the U.K., bringing chaos in his wake and igniting a passion for music in Akuna.

gb901 Created and starring idris elba - the new ofah this most certainly isn't. Reminds me of the ill conceived - and poorly received - early 2000s bbc alleged sitcom "the crouches" - and we all know what happened to that!

herbieonthemove I love this show. Sure, it's likely to mean more to people who were teenagers or older in the early-mid 1980's - for the brilliant music, the look, the jokes and vibe. People will probably love it or be rather underwhelmed, which is understandable. For people like my wide and I...50-something's we absolutely love it and are hoovering up the episodes double quick. Gentle, well crafted, joyful.
