EP1 Don’t Be Yourself Apr 19, 2010

After Rebecca learns about her ex-husband's impending wedding, she decides to jump headfirst into the dating pool. But the crew get her so worked up that, when it comes time to the actual date, she becomes flustered and ends up saying some ridiculous things about herself. Meanwhile Perry meets a girl he thinks is perfect - until he finds out she likes to be talked dirty to during their romantic encounters, so Lisa takes it upon herself to coach Perry through Dirty Talk 101; and Rebecca enlists struggling and unpublished writer Shawn to help her son, Justin, write a story for his high school English class.

EP2 The Charade Apr 26, 2010

Although Rebecca said she wouldn't meddle in sister Lisa's love life, she can't resist finding out why Lisa would break up with "nice guy" Neil. When Lisa finds out what Rebecca did, she finds a way to get back at her. Meanwhile, as Shawn is on his way to pick up Perry from his dental surgery, he gets distracted by a pretty girl, proving once again that the ladies come first in his life, so a fed-up Perry kicks Shawn out of the apartment and refuses to forgive his BFF.

EP3 Perry and Rebecca's High School Reunion May 03, 2010

When it's time for Rebecca and Perry to go back to their high school reunion, Rebecca is ready to confront Jesse, the guy who publicly humiliated her by standing her up at the senior prom. But Perry knows the real reason why she was stood up and tells a preposterous lie to keep Rebecca from discovering the truth. Meanwhile, avid hockey fan Shawn is devastated when he finds out that the local cable company won't be carrying the championship games. When he learns further that Lisa's friend, Vanessa, has the games on her cable station, he has to hide his real motive for romancing Vanessa from both women.

EP4 Rebecca's One Night Stand May 17, 2010

Lisa finally convinces Rebecca to have her first one night stand. But the always polite Rebecca violates Lisa's number-one rule by calling her date, Leo, the morning after. Now Leo is into Rebecca, so Lisa gives her sister her own unusual brand of dating advice so Rebecca can break up with him. Meanwhile, an overworked Perry decides to take a stay-cation. But doing so gets on the nerves of his unemployed roommate, Shawn, to the point that Shawn decides to get a job - any job.

EP5 Perry Dates His Assistant Jan 01, 0001

Rebecca wants to take her relationship to the next level with a seemingly normal guy, but reconsiders when she discovers a giant tattoo of a scantily-clad woman on his chest. Meanwhile, Perry's struggle to fire his enthusiastic but lousy assistant, Erin -- who incorrectly anticipates his every need -- lands him in an unwanted relationship with her; and Shawn is reluctant to watch Lisa's coworker's cute dog until he realizes what a great chick magnet the little guy is.

Reviews

R Y Does anyone else feel like one of the characters has studied Chandler from Friends too much?? It's like he's totally mimicking the character. He's trying too hard and it really is obvious. Alyssa is a fun actress and I wish she would be successful with this show, but I think it is the writing that's really lame. Also, she's still so young looking that I don't know that her character having a teenager fits her? Come on, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' character on her show has a what - 10 year old?? And she's a bit older than Alyssa. I'm hoping this show does not get canceled for Alyssa's sake. Come on - give us something real to laugh at. Good luck Alyssa ~
lsatterth There was enough canned laughter to fill an entire isle at WalMart. It is distracting and annoying to be 'told' what is funny...all too often erroneously. The dialogue was contrived and stale. There may be potential but the writers and producers are going to have to put forth a better effort in future episodes. Alyssa Milano is a good actress but this show is not a good vehicle for her or any other actor. This is not a show I will watch in the future. Fortunately, some of the new cable shows are more promising. If others provide better reviews on future shows, I might, just might watch it again, but if it is still full of stale dialogue, canned laughter and poor story lines, I will not watch again.
SunburstGal I really hope this show improves - I may watch it for one more episode. I was VERY disappointed, as I expected clever repartee (zero out of ten) and instead saw ridiculous characters and outrageous gags (one out of ten). Milano is usually so good - not here. The others I don't know at all, and I am reluctant to follow their careers after this debacle. But in fairness to the cast, the writing is the biggest problem. If they hire new writers, the show might pull something off. Character development is weak, too. If the heroine has only a childhood guy friend, his loser roommate, and her nympho sister for company, how can she hope to attract a "winner" date into her midst? Her circle of friends is clearly a liability. Maybe, she could tell them all in episode 2 that she's outgrown them, then she'd get a worthwhile date and we could solve all her problems in a two-episode season! She'd have better luck on "The Bachelor" or another dating reality show than in accepting dating advice from her inner circle of dating doom.
