Terryfan The Little Mermaid is a 1989 classic from Disney which still is consider one of their best motion pictures So it's interesting to know they would produce a TV series but what they did was smart of them is to make the series a prequel before the events of the movie it worked very good.Plus Jodi Benson reprise her role as Ariel, Kenneth Mars reprise his role as Triton and Samuel E.Wright reprise his role as Sebastian. Which is very good on their part to give the show a good chance. Despite the budget the series did have some good visuals and animation, I don't like judging animation because of their budget because there is some good animation here just got to be open mind about it Also we get original songs written for the show not in every episode but the ones who did get songs they each have their special to them The voice acting is pretty good as well with entertaining humor, intense, sadness and joy. The writing helps make the voice acting work so this is a good kid show and for fans of the Little MermaidIf you can find the show give it a try
malgrd I hope you realize they used the exact same voices for Ariel, Sebastian, and the king as they did in the movie. Obviously voice actors can't always do the TV series but for you to say the voice wasn't even right when it WAS JODI BENSON... I just can't. If you didn't like it then why did you even watch it? I loved this show. I wasn't around for it when they showed it the first time but I for sure remember the reruns! I love spin off shows and i thought this was amazing! Brings me back to watching cartoons with my grandma. I wish Disney would come back with shows like these. They'd probably have more viewers if they did.
roxygirlblue01 "The Little Mermaid" is a magical tale. A healthy story to the child's spirit. Many have seen it but the new generation must see it. It's a magical story that fills the children's soul with fantasy and creativity. I think all children should see it at a young age. This Disney classic will win the heart your son/daughter/niece/nephew etc. I really encourage families to see it. Think of it as chicken soup for the children's soul. If you've ever heard of those books. It's a classic that you will never forget. A Magical tale that will light up you Shields face(s) I hope that this movie will make you children happy and joyful to the bone. Enjoy.
Ginger87 I used to love watching "The Little Mermaid" T.V. series when I was little. I was 5 years old when this series premiered and I remember waking up early every Saturday morning with my sister just to watch it. I was so excited to see the new episodes. My favorite character was Flounder, he was so cute. My sister's favorite character was Sebastian, he was so funny. I occasionally still watch this show whenever I get a chance to on Toon Disney.I loved the theme song of "The Little Mermaid" T.V. series because it was a mixture of many of the songs from the movie "The Little Mermaid", which I also love. My favorite episode was "Wish upon a Starfish".All together I think this was a good prequel to the movie and I suggest everyone should watch it. I give this series 9/10 stars.
