MajesoFormo Was at a party and my friend put this on in one of the rooms for people to watch, dropped in and had a blast watching it. Special efx are great and the characters are hilarious better than the cookie cutter crap Hollywood churns out again and again. If you are a fan of fun movies with horror or aliens this is worth checking out. Came into the movie sort of in the middle not sure what I was watching at first I wasn't sure to laugh at the movie or with the movie. Then I realized its a fun movie and the way it came together it seemed like a labor of love. If anyone who made the movie ever gets the chance just add music to make it 100% awesomesauce. There is commons music you can sue from techno to classical so check it out. Everyone should see this movie, since I saw it I been making it a holy mission to show it to all my friends since I stole the DVD from my friend, haha. From one to zen, Id give it an eleven!
Bublenutz I usually check reviews prior to renting films, I had read a couple reviews on Evil Aliens so I thought I was in store for a zombie movie, boy was I wrong, dead wrong.Evil Aliens tells the story of Michelle Fox, a sleazy reporter hell bent on getting the perfect story. After Michelle gets a lead that a pregnant girl claims to be bearing an alien child, she packs up her crew and heads to the remote island to get the perfect story. Suddenly Michelle finds herself in deliverance country and that's about the time when the movie gets bloody, and I mean bloody! Evil Aliens is a mi-sh mash of sci-fi, horror and comedy and an pays an exuberant amount of homage to Dead Alive, Bad Taste, Evil Dead, Night of the Creeps, there's so many I can't name them all. This homage routine works well in the beginning but steadily becomes played out. Yes we get it; Jake West likes horror movies. The over indulgence of blood, especially sprayed in the face of the character becomes numbing, this effect is done so frequently, that after the 15th time it becomes annoying, seriously 15th times if not more.Jake West does manage to do a great job with the special effects, makeup, character development and sets, the detail inside of the alien's ship is phenomenal and the alien's costumes are realistic as it gets. It balances the sci-fi and horror genre well and throws a mix of comedic overtones which makes it a fun fast paced film. Unfortunately Evil Aliens is far from perfect; the acting is rigid and in some cases the computer animation is ridiculous, but the biggest problem is originality. Evil Aliens borrows so much from its predecessors, it just becomes predictable. However any horror or sci-fi fan (Sci-fi fan as in Aliens, Life Force, etc. not Star Trek or Dune) can overlook these slight imperfections and enjoy. I even found a pretty fun drinking game online, so be sure to get some brew and a couple friends together and check out Evil Aliens, it might even be better when you're drunk?
andyrose_tx I bought the EVIL ALIENS DVD based upon the filmBRAWL read on HorrorMovieFans.com Indie Horror Radio with Parrish Randall last weekend. The film was written and directed by Jake West and features the lovely Emily Booth. The movie is simply the best "sci-fi/horror" movie ever! It kicks Aliens and Predators butt! But then to be fair, generally I'm not a fan of the sci-fi genre of horror. It's horrifying when it needs to be but cheesy when it should be. It's moments of comic cheesiness are absolutely fantastic. The film opens with a couple doing it like rabbits out in a field, they are abducted, taken aboard the ship, and the dude is anally raped with an alien probe tool. And you know that any movie that starts out with a gory alien anal probin' is going to be good! The kills are gruesome, blood splatters by the gallon, and there is plenty of gore and guts to go around. Ever seen a field full of aliens mowed down in by a large farm tractor/combine? Well, I have .. now. and it's a beautiful thing man.The costumes are cool as heck too.. the aliens are by no means incredibly original, perhaps a little too influenced by "PREDATOR" but they are still believable as aliens. The story line sounds stupid as hell, but it really does works very well. The acting is believable and every single actor turns in a performance that is "out of this world" (boooooh-hissssssss, I know). This has to be the only film you'll ever see that sub-titles Welsh. The farms hands are Welsh and you can't understand a word they say .. so they provide "Welsh to English" subtitles! That's just funny as hell if you get it.Technically the film is sound.. the music rocks, the sound is excellent, and the camera work is solid as hell. The f/x, both practical and CG, kick serious ass. This is the only movie I remember that has a human/alien sex scene that was remotely a turn-on. Hahaha. The token "I wanna believe" geek gets his virginity taken by a female alien that was bizarrely sexy. She rocks that boys world. You gotta see this film! Make sure you get the (UNRATED) version as I'm quite sure the alien sex scene is missing from the (R) rated DVD. I'll watch this film 100 times before I watch any ALIENS or PREDATOR sequel, remake, or cross ever again!
Scarecrow-88 Raucus sci-fi horror splatter comedy regarding a documentary film crew, who work for a television program which display fantastic claims of UFO phenomena for entertainment purposes, running into real warrior aliens(with fancy blades as weapons wearing a special mask because the Earth's atmosphere is harmful to them) when they were researching a claim from a young woman who said she was abducted along with her boyfriend. This woman explains that her husband was the recipient of an anal drill with the aliens opening her up with a fetus planted inside her. Michelle Fox(Emily Booth, quite yummy)and her minor crew, for the exception of a VERY devoted alien abduction researcher, find the whole business silly until they come face-to-face with them in a bloody war.Director Jake West and company really provide a crowd-pleaser for fans of gory carnage. Blood and body parts always splattering here and there with the alien warriors, essentially human extras in costumes, often ripping heads(..plus arms and legs) arms off, gouging eyes, even impaling one poor soul on a wood crucifix. Farming equipment and liquid manure are used among other weapons by the humans. An adult actress, with limited talents, shoots a mean shot-gun. A running gag is the trinity of foul farmers who are the alien abductee claimant's brothers, with one of them quite gifted with a crossbow. Cattle are mutilated(..no, obviously fake), with their heads used for laughs. A farming combine is used to mow through aliens with their body parts flying all over the place. We see a woman pulled apart by "the alien inside". Jake West and his team gleefully poke fun at alien conspiracy shows and nuts using one of their own as an eventual hero. If there is a way to destroy an alien, West and his crew deliver in spades. For extra giggles, a gay character has a good many witty moments and is provided with some especially amusing moments when facing the peril of aliens on the prowl and the uncouth farmers in the midst. The inside of an alien ship shows how their guidance system works..through a massive brain, their ship's functions derive. There's even a hilarious sex scene between a female warrior alien and the nerdy alien conspiracy nut! If you are looking for a flick that is made completely tongue-in-cheek, throwing caution to the wind in favor of painting the screen red(..while also incorporating sleazy jokes and visual gags)with grue, then "Evil Aliens" will provide mucho enjoyment. West uses CGI rather well in the design of the alien ships in the film, and the gory make-up effects are a welcome presence. Low-budget, but evokes the spirit of early Peter Jackson with solid pacing and visual verve. West, I hope, will work more frequently in the horror genre..his work is welcome on my television set.
